Fame and Ben’s story covers time, culture, international borders as well as this “Covid thing” you might have heard about. Any of these factors can put a strain on a relationship much less an “all of the above” but their relationship has been a testament to the adage “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”.
When I shoot a wedding I am always looking for stories and little moments that make up a day. Spending the day with Ben and Fame gave me many opportunities to record, and it is obvious in looking at them that they have a deep connection that seems to flow amply, naturally and with great humour.
As Covid unfolded and spread ever changing rules on what people could and couldn’t do – organising a wedding was especially difficult but like many couples they soldiered on and rolled with it. What eventuated was a beautiful and intimate garden wedding with close friends and Australian family members on a day in between the torrential rain we had been having.
Like all great weddings there was a definite sense that the day would have been as special regardless of the location and the weather.
Congratulations Fame and Ben, wishing you lots of joy.
